The purpose of this project was to design a stool that would be economically friendly in terms of manufacturing, transportation, and life cycle. Additional issues that I focused on were stability, aesthetics, and simple, intuitive assembly. The final design is a cardboard stool, which is flat-packed and assembled at home.

The first variation is a very sturdy two-piece design, based on a hexagon. The second is built around a swiss cross, and consists of three main pieces; a base, seat top, and middle cross-support. The symmetrical and balanced form of both stools provide aesthetic and structural soundness.
