My full name is Benjamin Kiyoshi Guthrie, and I am an industrial designer in San Francisco. Since graduating from the ID program at the University of Washington in 2009, I moved to California and have been contributing my skills to various companies and organizations in need of design elements.

I’m inspired by the impact of design, and aspire to improve peoples’ lives in my work. I believe collaboration is key, as well as an optimistic yet critical perspective. I feel very strongly about sustainability and have recently been volunteering at local bike clinics and non-profits. I am excited about the design industry and I hope that continuing in this field will lead me to a life that is enjoyable and successful.


I am also an official supporter of the Designers Accord and strive to follow the DA guidelines in all of my work.
